NEW CWC -like diver to 1000 feet with PVD and ETA - BEST Buy
I have sold CWC watches for some time and been pleased with the quality and fit and finish. But the prices have really gone too high for a quartz watch. So using the same case specs as the Royal Navy diver's style but fitted with a SWISS automatic movement as well as a conventional black dial a new watch has become available that give you everything and more at a more reasonable price. Please understand the black case is PVD coated, which is an expensive process developed for coating stainless the way anodized is used for aluminum pieces to extend their life and also make them non-reflective this is NOT paint. It is an expensive method that if you wish it done to your watch would cost a minimum of $125.00 just to coat! This has a Screw down back, screw down crown which is pulled out to “hack” so the second sweep hand does not move. The crown is well protected by the shoulders shown in the photos when the crown is in an screwed down. It has a unidirectional ratcheting bezel – aligned with the 12. This watch sports a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the underside. The luminous on the dial and hands is Luminova. Water resistant to 30 bar = 300 metres =1000 feet. Swiss made entirely and UK designed. SIZE: 39 mm across the bezel, 45 mm across the case to the tip of the protected crown, 47 mm lug to lug and 11.5 mm thick. Lug spacing is 20 mm. The watch is powered by the well known shockproof ETA 25 jewel automatic, calibre 2824-2 with quickset date and hacking seconds. Supplied on either a NATO or Rhino strap ( shown on a Rhino BR-2). DATE for CWC case SPECS: Based on Defence Standard 66-4 (Part 1) and manufactured to the same military specification as the official issue dive watch but with a few differences. This standard was published in 1971 and one of the advantages of not having to follow a specification exactly is that you can build in improvements which have evolved since the standard was written. This watch has had the crystal upgraded from mineral glass to sapphire and the movement is a Swiss ETA as above and not quartz. Please refer to item number PRS-11B when ordering. The price is 298.00 + shipping – current price overseas is 360 + shipping. Just 2 in stock. Click to enlarge again. Thank you
